When: Saturdays, 8:15 am -9:15 am Pacific time (tentative), 5:15pm-6:15pm CET, 8:45pm-9:45pm IST 

Duration of the entire study: ~32 classes 

Where: Online. (If there is interest from people for in-person study, then it may be accomodated). Recordings will be provided for each class.

Requirements: This class is offered primarily as a service to transmit and preserve the yoga scriptures in their original form and correct interpretation, just as this information had been preserved and passed on for thousands of years in more dire situations like war and persecution. For this reason, out of reverence for these scriptures, only people who are willing to commit to the study by attending classes and making up for missed classes through recordings, are requested to attend.  

Community aspects: People in the study group form a community and encourage each other in their journey. This is all the more the reason for serious particiapnts to be in the study. Active participation in the study is encouraged through questions. A whatsapp group will also be available.

Format: The first ~55 minutes will be slide presentation, such as this, using specifically designed slides following the classic commentary of Swami Hariharananda Aranya. The last ~5 minutes will be allocated to chanting.

Cost: The scriptures on Yoga are priceless. Traditionally, hundreds or thousands of years ago, it was just offered by very few people and others donated money to support this activity. In the same light, to maintain this activity of passing on the scriptural information, and to take care of costs associated, a donation, such as $50 per chapter (~8 classes) can be made, at the beginning of each chapter. (If you have financial difficulty or live in another country please pay what you can afford and send me a note).
